A couple of weeks ago I learned about a fantastic way to combine Twitter with writing. At first I had no idea what we were doing or how the final product would come together. After breaking into groups and Tweeting about specific questions on a book we read "A New Culture of Learning" we then created accounts in Storify. We selected tweets, quotes, questions, etc from our classmates and organized them into our own story. We then added video, pictures, and other multimedia tools. I began to see how useful this could be in the classroom. It allows students to pull information from the course content and also from their own experiences. What a fantastic blend that leads to further and deeper understanding and application. If you haven't used Storify, I highly recommend you try it now! It will change the way your students synthesize, analyze, and write. Here is the story I wrote: | |

I participated in my first Twitter Chat using #SUchat. It was a fun experience and I would definitely try one again. We participated for an hour and the time went by quickly as the tweets flew by. It was a good thing that I used TweetDeck so I could follow it easier. I recommend that for users of Twitter. I think used Storify to create a story.
